#047: Beach Day

We’ve been enjoying a weekend away from KL each month now with a short drive down to Port Dickson, our favourite local getaway.

The following photographs are from a few weekend morning walks along the beaches of Port Dickson. The early morning periods are nice and quiet. Many campers just out and about after their night under the stars. We've just finished breakfast at the local roti canai stalls, and I walk back along the beach to our accommodation.

There are not many people around if you compare it to the mid-day and evening periods, just small groups enjoying the peace and quiet and the calmness of the idyllic Strait of Malacca. A large group of people exercising from the local university, families playing in the shallow waters, people fishing, and lots of tents filled the beaches during these photo outings. A couple of shots were taken in the evening around sunset.

If I keep going back as much as I have, maybe I'll make proper series out of it, and start capturing other aspects of the beach life at Port Dickson. What say you?

All photos were taken on the Fujifilm X100S.

Cheers.
