#045: Some photos from 2022

Gong Xi Fa Chai! Happy Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year, to you all.

So 2022 turned out to be a slower year in photography than the previous. The new job has been keeping me busy and weekends were spent more with family rather than going about here and there with the camera.

As a family, we did a lot of domestic tourism and went to a few nice places around peninsular Malaysia, and in each, I keep finding myself taking photos with my mobile phone rather than with my camera. Is it a sign of the times for me, personally? Am I just going to take photos with my mobile and leave the camera behind every time I go out and about? it sure seems like it right now…

The Olympus E-M1 has finally stopped functioning properly and at this stage, it is probably time to see if there is something within my budget to move on to. The X100s is still chugging along but it's showing its age too. What should I aim for next? Meanwhile, the XF-10 will have to keep me satisfied on the street. It just means getting closer to the subjects that I would rather like to. And the Pixel 5a keeps delivering the goods too.

So below is a collection of photos from 2022 from everywhere and from the mix of the Google Pixel 5a and the XF-10.

Here's to a better year, the year of the Rabbit.

Cheers.
